I am Disha, a 17 year old history enthusiast from India. History is a subject that I’ve grown to appreciate over the years, yet I often see a lack of interest in the subject especially among my peer group. Perhaps their dislike stems from what it is commonly associated with and how it is taught- as a collection of dates and facts about events long gone, with little scope for exploration and further understanding. However, I have been fortunate to have been taught history differently at school. This sparked the idea of a blog to share my exploration of history by creating an engaging platform to exchange ideas and delve deeper into the relevance of history.
